Puritan

Designed concurrently with the architecture, this landscape project maximizes design opportunities despite the challenging constraints of the small urban lot with setback and lot coverage requirements.

A bluestone walk leads to the front porch which is surrounded by a composition of boxwood hedges, flowering dogwoods trees, and a mass planting of roses. Hydrangeas line the outside of the driveway in front of a wall of evergreen trees that ensure privacy. On the opposite side, a lush bed of ground cover softens the space between the driveway and the house without hiding the architectural details.

The rear patio, composed of clay brick and bluestone, is sheltered by a hand-crafted pergola, making it an intimate space for relaxing and entertaining. At night, the soft glow of lights makes it an ideal place to spend the evening with family and friends.
